Teamwork: Car Building

One of the challenges we face as homeschoolers is ensuring our children have time to spend in groups and teams, not just for recreation, but for learning.  There is a certain magic in having a small group of youth together learning through the use of the same project.  I just had the opportunity to write an article on a teamwork activity–namely, rebuilding a car–for teens through the perspective of a homeschooler.  It required a certain level of brevity in voice and broadness of topic, but the basic steps are in place.

If this sounds interesting or you have other ideas for what you like to do with your homeschoolers to get them practicing teamwork, let me know!  Also, check out my last post on the free online issues (106 years) of Popular Mechanics!
