Childhood Ought to be Magical

Apparently, there are some folks who think it’s a chore to parent in a way that makes each day magical for one’s child. I think they’re missing the point (and they’ve forgotten the joys of finger painting). But I’m not the expert in these waters, so I’m going to let Alicia at A Magical Childhood convince you.

As for her recommendation or “My Mama Had a Dancing Heart,” I’ll second that; I bought that for my daughter years ago because it reminded me of my mother and the kind of parent I want to be. Also, if you want to read a good argument for literary magic (e.g. Fairy tales, fantasy, sci-fi) in your child’s life, check out the book “Touch Magic.”
